Repairs To Close Jersey Shore Bridge For 10 Weeks: See Details

SPRING LAKE-SEA GIRT, NJ — Repairs to Bridge W-27 on First Avenue between Sea Girt and Spring Lake are set to begin this week and take approximately 10 weeks to complete, county officials said.

According to Monmouth County Commissioner Director Thomas Arnone, this planned work will address necessary repairs to the spandrel walls on the concrete arch of the bridge and include the replacement of an aging pylon.

These improvements will “strengthen the bridge, enhance durability, and extend its life service,” Arnone said.

“We ask drivers to follow all posted signs during construction,” Arnone said. “We appreciate the public’s patience as we work on this important project.”

According to Spring Lake and Sea Girt officials, the bridge will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic during repairs, with detours in place during repair work.
