Road Closures, Parking Information For Wall Fair, Fireworks, Firecracker Run
If you're going to the Wall Fair (it starts Thursday night) or live near the Firecracker Five-Mile Run course, take heed, police say.

WALL, NJ — It's that time — time for the annual Wall Fair. The fair, which begins Thursday, June 29, goes through Sunday, July 2 and finishes with a Fourth of July fireworks display.
The Wall Fair is held at the township municipal complex at the corner of Allaire and Baileys Corner roads in Wall. The fireworks display will be at dark on Sunday, approximately 9 p.m.
Parking for the fair will be in the parking area of the Wall Township Pop Warner fields, off of Baileys Corner Road just north of the municipal complex. Handicap parking will be available at the Pop Warner fields as well. Parking also will be permitted on Williamsburg, Colonial and Concord drives, Wall Township police said.

No parking will be permitted on Baileys Corner Road or on Allaire Road. Police department personnel will be present to direct and assist with the flow of traffic, the department said.
On Sunday evening after the fireworks, traffic will be directed from the north parking lot of the Pop Warner complex north onto Baileys Corner Road toward 18th Avenue. The south parking lot of the Pop Warner complex will be directed south on Baileys Corner Road. Traffic from the municipal complex will be directed east on Allaire Road, and parts of Allaire Road and Baileys Corner Road will be closed during that time to expedite traffic. Residents and motorists should make alternate plans during this time.

In addition to the Wall Fair fireworks, traffic in the township will be disrupted on Tuesday, July 4, for the annual Firecracker 5-Mile Run.
The race is scheduled to begin about 8:30 a.m. The following roads will be closed to motor vehicles beginning at 8 a.m. to accommodate the race. They are expected to reopen about 9:30 a.m.
- Allaire Road between New Bedford and the Allenwood Circle
- Campbell Road between Allaire Road and 18th Avenue
- Baileys Corner Road between Allaire Road and 18th Avenue
- Celeste Drive, Murray Drive, Carriage Hill Drive and Concord Drive will be closed between Baileys Corner Road and 18th Avenue
- New Bedford Road between 18th Avenue and Allaire Road
- All roads encompassed by the route will also be closed
"All residents and the public are urged to take these road closings into account and make alternate travel plans. For safety, no traffic will be allowed on the closed roads. No exceptions will be made," Detective Lt. Greg Carpino, spokesman for the police department, said.
Runners are urged to arrive early since the roads are closed and they will not be allowed to proceed to the municipal complex.
"The Wall Township Police Department is asking for the cooperation of its residents, the public, and the media in making this announcement in order to help make these two events a success," Carpino said.
