CONGRATULATIONS ON A GREAT START
ITS OFFICIAL. THE DREDGING CONTRACT FOR SHARK RIVER WAS AWARDED THIS WEEK!!!!
1OO’ WIDE -6’ @ LOW TIDE

After almost 40 years some of the river channels are scheduled and funded to be dredged.
THE NJDOT Bid was awarded to Mobile dredging & pump company.

I would like to thank some of the people who helped make this happen.

Senator Beck, Tom Arnone & all the other Freeholders for their support.

Randy Bishop, the towns of Neptune, Belmar & Neptune City, for their full cooperation and land use offering

& the NJDOT who is responsible for the river and its funding.

This should and must be the first part of keeping this valuable asset alive.

Maybe in the next phase Assemblyman Dave Rible and Assemblyman (also Wall attorney) Sean Kean will keep their promise they made in 2009 ”not to let politics get in the way and not stop working till the river comes back to health” It is time to do the right thing for all the residents who elected you. What happened?

The Wall Committee needs to work with all the surrounding towns and let the NJDEP evaluate the property on the river used in the past for dewatering. Wall has been dumping mud in the river for over 70 years without a plan to  help remove it.

The Wall residents can benefit if the town works with the County and National Marine Fisheries to dredge along the historical channels, then set up a sailing program and kayak launching dock for all.

Congressman Smith we also need your help with the Army Corps.

Imagine if all our elected officials worked together for us, “we the people”.

This would have saved the taxpayers of Monmouth County and the State millions of dollars.

Thank you

John F. Dempsey
