Another original New Jerseyana photo. This one is of Governor A. Harry Moore (left) at a ship launching ceremony for the Grace Line's "Santa Rosa" In Kearny on March 24, 1932. With Moore at the ceremony were, from left to right, "Miss Marjorie Le Boutillier of New York; Miss Juliet Proctor; Miss Wendy Inglehart, sponsor; Gov. Joseph B. Ely of Mass.; and Gov. Gifford Pinchot of Pennsylvania." Pinchot, of course, was a famous person of the era, pioneering (and sometimes controversial) conservationist and associate of President Theodore Roosevelt as well as two-time governor of Pennsylvania.
