Threat To Wall High School Unfounded: Police

Breaking: The threat caused a lockdown mid-morning at the high school, police said.

WALL, NJ — An unspecified threat to Wall Township High School on Tuesday that resulted in a lockdown turned out to be unfounded, Wall Township police said.

Wall police were contacted by the school district at 11:19 a.m. about a possible threat, Detective Lt. Greg Carpino said. He did not describe the nature of the threat or provide details on how it came to light.

The threat prompted a lockdown, however, and Carpino said the investigation by police and school officials "determined that the threat was unfounded."

Police remained at the high school for the remainder of the school day out of an abundance of caution, Carpino said.
