Township Committee Pays Out For Accrued Time
Three from Police Department receive nearly $72,000

The Township Committee on Wednesday paid out nearly $72,000 in accrued sick and vacation time to three Police Department employees in a trio of separate resolutions.
Paul Mabin, who retired from the Police Department on Jan. 1 was paid $55,015.48 in accrued time, including 280 hours of vacation time at $15,212.40, 334.81 hours of compensation time at $18, 190.23 and 617.5 hours of sick time, paid at half rate for a total of $16,777.48.
Mabin also received $3,477.12 for 64 hours of unused personal time and 25 hours of Kelly time at $1,358.25.

Cynthia Ransom, who retired from the Police Department at the beginning of December, received $877.50 for 67.5 hours of unused vacation time.
Anthony Lubischer, who also retired on Jan. 1, was paid $15,865.67 in accrued time. Lubischer was paid $9,888.06 for 182 hours of accrued vacation time, 2.01 hours of compensation time in the amount of $109.21 and 32 hours of personal time at $1,738.56. Lubischer also was paid for 152 hours of sick time at a half rate for $4,129.84.

The vote authorizing payments on each of these resolutions was unanimous. There was no discussion among Township Committee members.
