Two New Officers Sworn In To Wall Township Police Department

WALL, NJ - Two new police officers were sworn in to the Wall Township Police Department this week, bringing the total number of officers in the department to 67.

Joseph Phillips, 24, and James Yannazzone, 24, were sworn in on Friday as township police officers, according to a spokesperson from the department.

Phillips graduated from Ocean County College in Toms River with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, according to Captain Greg Carpino. Phillips attended the Ocean County Special II Academy and worked as a Special II Officer in Point Pleasant Beach before lending his skills to the Wall Township Police Department.

James Yannazzone graduated from New Jersey City University in Jersey City with a Bachelor’s Degree. He attended the Monmouth County Special II Academy and worked as a Special II Officer in Asbury Park before coming to the Wall Township Police Department.

The department also recently welcomed two new Special II Officers, Kenneth Bala, 21, and Joan Moreno-Garcia, 23.
