Vigil For COVID Deaths To Be Held In Wall

The Rami's Heart COVID memorial will host its second lighting ceremony to commemorate the lives lost in the pandemic.

WALL, NJ — It has been two years after the coronavirus pandemic began, resulting in the death of 30,131 people, according to data from the New Jersey Department of Health.

A night of remembrance will be held at the Rami's Heart COVID-19 Memorial, which was established last year in memory of the thousands of people who died as a result of the disease. The Allaire Community Farm will host this year's vigil on Saturday, March 19 at 5:30 p.m.

The heart-shaped memorial has approximately 3,500 names of people organized in 11 yellow-painted shell hearts to honor victims who died from the coronavirus.
