Wall Police Department To Host Medicine “Take Back” Next Week
The Wall Township Police Department will take back your unused, unwanted and expired medicine on Oct. 24. Dropoffs are anonymous.

WALL, NJ – in conjunction with the DEA, the Wall Township Police will will host an anonymous program to collect all unused, unwanted and expired medicine.
Dubbed “Operation Take Back”, the initiative will see a drop off bin in the front lobby of the Wall Township Police Department at 2700 Allaire Road.
On Oct. 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., locals will be able to dispose of medication either in its original container or removing medication from its container and disposing directly into the drug disposal box. Prescription labels should be stripped of any identifying information.

The program is anonymous and all efforts will be made to protect the anonymity of individuals
disposing of medications. No questions or requests for identification will be made. Residents will be able to deposit medications freely and independently.
“The role of law enforcement will be to maintain and safeguard the integrity of the disposed items,” Wall police wrote in a news release.

Liquid products should remain sealed in their original container. Syringes and other sharp instruments will not be accepted.
At the end of the day, the DEA will dispose of the contents in accordance with DEA policy.
