Wall Police Arrest 26 During Busy Memorial Day Weekend
Nine people were charged with driving while intoxicated, according to police.

WALL, NJ -- Wall Township police had five busy days, arresting 26 people during the Memorial Day weekend. Among the arrests were two people charged with prostitution and nine who were charged with driving while intoxicated, according to Wall Lt. Greg Carpino.
The arrests were as follows:
On Wednesday, May 25, about 3 a.m., Patrolman Timothy Margadonna responded to a call at 2532 Belmar Boulevard and during the investigation arrested Ryan T. Henry, 24, of Brick on charges of disorderly conduct, under the influence of CDS and resisting arrest. He was issued a complaint summons and released.

On Thursday, May 26, about 3:40 p.m. Patrolman John Spinapont responded Liberty Lane and Allenwood Road for a report of a suspicious person. During the investigation, Steven A. Lurch, 20, of Wall, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, defiant trespass, resisting arrest by flight, obstruction and interfering with traffic. Judge Joseph Defino set bail at $5,500, with a 10 percent option. Lurch was taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Facility, where he was later released on bail.
On Thursday, May 26, about 7:20 p.m., Patrolman Frederick Sprengel arrested Kerry Grady, 52, of Ocean Grove, on charges of shoplifting at from one of the stores at the Kmart shopping plaza, 1825 Route 35. She was taken to the Wall Wall police headquarters and processed then released on a summons with a pending court date.

On Thursday, May 26, about 8:30 p.m., Sgt. William Bono arrested Holly Shalfi, 30, of Toms River, on warrants issued out of the Hazlet Township Municipal Court and the Perth Amboy Municipal Court. She was processed at Wall police headquarters, where she posted bail and was later released.
On Thursday, May 26, about 11:40 p.m., Patrolman Chris Mason arrested Tina Maldonado, 20, of Ocean Grove, on charges of possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 35. She was processed and released on a summons with a pending court date.
On Friday, May 27, about 2:15 a.m., Patrolwoman Amy Drackwicz arrested Kleber Palacios-Falcones, 24, of Linden, on a charge of driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 at Club Drive. He was processed at Wall police headquarters and later released.
On Friday, May 27, about 8:45 p.m., Sgt. Miles Shanklin arrested Michael J. Samuel, 44, of Long Branch, on a charge of driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 at Brinley Road. He was processed at Wall police headquarters and later released.
On Friday, May 27, about 9:35 p.m., Patrolman Christopher Mason arrested Anthony Burrell Jr., 42, of Neptune, on a charge of driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 at the Garden State Parkway. He was processed at Wall police headquarters and later released.
On Friday, May 27, about 11:40 p.m., Sgt. Shanklin arrested Jeffrey Opachinski, 28, of Middlesex, on a charge of driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 at Old Mill Road. He was processed at Wall police headquarters and later released in accordance with John’s Law.
On Friday, May 27, about 3:15 p.m., Patrolman Corey Whitman arrested Damien Davis, 33, of Lake Como, on charges of possession of a hypodermic needle, resisting arrest, obstruction and hindering his own apprehension, following a suspicious person call at 1732 Route 35. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Judge Joseph Defino set bail at $3,000 with a 10 percent option. Davis was taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in default of bail. He was still being held at the county jail Wednesday on an unrelated shoplifting charge, according to jail records.
On Saturday, May 28, about 12:30 a.m., Patrolman Margadonna arrested Christian Peretz, 22, of Parlin, on a charge of driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Route 34 at West Hurley Pond Road. He was processed at Wall police headquarters and later released.
On Saturday, May 28, about 1:40 a.m., Patrolman Shane Roland arrested Onochie I. Sonwu, 23, of Jamaica, N.Y., on charges of possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 at the Garden State Parkway. He was processed at Wall police headquarters and released on summonses pending a court date.
On Saturday, May 28, about 9:15 a.m., Patrolman Ty Hughes responded to 1933 Route 35 for a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, Erin E. Warman, 23, of Toms River, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated. She was processed at Wall police headquarters and later released.
On Saturday, May 28, about 8:30 p.m. Patrolman Margadonna responded to 1302 Campus Parkway for a subject who would not leave the property. During the investigation, Sabrina A. Santos, 23, of Mount Holly, was arrested on charges of promoting prostitution, being under the influence of CDS, possession of heroin, possession of hypodermic syringes and possession of drug paraphernalia. She also was found to have an active warrant out of the Burlington County Sheriff’s Office. Also arrested was Andrea Depaola, 45, of Caldwell, on a charge of engaging in prostitution. Santos was taken to Wall police headquarters, and then to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute where she is being held in lieu of $15,000 bail set by Judge Defino. She additionally has had a contempt charge lodged against her by Monmouth County Superior Court and has a detainer from Atlantic County, according to jail records. Depaola was processed at Wall P.D. and released on summons pending a court date.
On Sunday, May 29, about 1 a.m. Patrolman Mason responded to Allenwood Road and Sleepy Hollow Court for a report of a suspicious vehicle. During the investigation, Abhimanyu Chauhan, 18, of Fair Lawn, was arrested on charges of possession of Xanax without a prescription, possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed at Wall police headquarters and released on summons.
On Sunday, May 29, just before 2 a.m., Patrolman Patrick Brady arrested Stephen I. Culpepper, 29, of Lodi, on a charge of driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Route 34 at Allaire Road. He was processed at Wall police headquarters and later released.
On Sunday, May 29, about 3:30 a.m., Patrolman Margadonna arrested Iquan A. Tyler, 22, of Asbury Park, on a charge of possession of heroin following a suspicious person call at 1302 Campus Parkway. He was processed at Wall police headquarters and released on summons.
On Sunday, May 29, about 9:20 a.m., Patrolman Hughes arrested Pricilla Margotta, 21, of Little Silver, subsequent to a motor vehicle stop at 1904 Route 34 on charges of possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of Xanax and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was processed at Wall police headquarters and later released on a summons with a pending court date.
On Sunday, May 29, about 9:50 p.m., Patrolman Brady arrested Jeffrey A. Sharoff, 21, of Millstone, on charges of possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 at Old Mill Road. He was processed at Wall police headquarters and released on a summons pending a court date.
On Sunday, May 29, about 11:30 p.m., Patrolman Thomas Gavaghan arrested passenger Shiquan Scurry, 24, of Asbury Park, on an active nonsupport warrant from the Monmouth County Sheriff's Department following a motor vehicle stop on Route 35. He processed at Wall police headquarters and turned over to Monmouth County sheriff’s officers. He was later released from the Monmouth County jail on bail.
On Sunday, May 29, about 11:30 p.m., Patrolman Jack Gramlich responded to 2510 Belmar Blvd. for a report of a subject passed out in his vehicle. During the investigation, Gramlich arrested John D. Williams Jr., 52, of Wall, on charges of possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia along with being under the influence of heroin and driving while intoxicated. He was processed at Wall police headquarters and later released.
On Monday, May 30, about 1 a.m., Ptl Brady arrested Marissa C. Horner, 29, of Roebling, on a charge of driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Route 35 at Tarpon Drive. She was processed at Wall police headquarters and later released.
On Monday, May 30, about 8:15 p.m., Patrolwoman Drackwicz responded to Wyckoff Road and Outlook Drive for a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, Susan Peters, 39, of Tinton Falls, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated. She was processed at Wall police headquarters and later released.
On Tuesday, May 31, about 2 a.m., Patrolman Michael Tancredi arrested Julio Ocasio Jr., 25, of Ewing, on an active warrant out of Hamilton Township Municipal Court for $200. Tancredi also arrested Brittney Goss, 26, of Trenton, on an active warrant out of Trenton Court for $500. Both Ocasio and Goss were arrested subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 and New Bedford Road for speeding. Ocasio also was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. Defino set Ocasio's bail at $1,000 with 10 percent option. He was processed at Wall police headquarters and released on bail. Goss was released on her own recognizance on her warrant.
