Wall Township Applebees To Be Replaced With Beauty Salon
Sola Salon Studios, a boutique salon space (think WeWork for beauticians and hairstylists) is set to take over Applebee's in Wall Township.

WALL, NJ - A new business in town is slated to replace the former Applebee’s in Wall Township’s Tricorne Center on Route 35. Sola Salon Studios, a boutique salon space for beauty professionals -think WeWork for beauticians and hairstylists - is set to move in next door to Pasch Salon.
“Our Wall Sola will feature individual salon studios that are beautifully constructed with the independent salon and beauty professional in mind. We can accommodate all Salon Professionals,” reads a statement announcing the new location on the company’s website. “If you are a hairstylist, barber, cosmetologist, nail technician, eyelash or eyebrow specialist, esthetician or any other professional in the cosmetology industry, then Sola is the new home you've been dreaming of.”
Franchisee and operations manager Tina Marcopoulos says that there are over 575 Sola Salon locations around country, in addition to sites in Canada and Brazil. Studios are available for rent, with sizes ranging from standard, large, and double. Each studio touts shampoo bowls, chairs, high-end cabinetry and state-of-the-art lighting, with additional amenities including restrooms, kitchen facilities and on-site laundry.

Marcopoulos told Patch that the Wall location boasts a more spacious layout than most other locations, which will allow for additional studios and washer/dryers.
There are four other Sola Salon Studio locations, with the closest located in Holmdel on Route 35. Other sites include Wayne, Cedar Knolls and Princeton (another location is slated to open this summer in Madison). A mid-May opening date can be expected for the Wall site.

"We're like a beauty mall, it's a one-stop shop," Marcopoulos said. "We think Wall is a great market. It's a wonderful area, we thought that Sola would be perfect there. We have higher-end clientele, and we want to create a comfortable environment for both local business owners that come to us as well as their clients. We're looking to invest in a nice outdoor patio area for when the weather is nice, as well as benches and chairs outside ... we chose the Tricorne Center because it is conveniently located to service not only Wall but all the shore towns adjacent to Wall. We had a lot of requests to open in the area plus we just plain love the Jersey Shore!"
