Position: Records Clerk

 

This is to advise that a vacancy exists for the above referenced full time position in the Wall Township Police Department.

 

Seeking an organized, self-motivated, detail oriented individual with the ability to multi-task. Under the direction of the Chief of Police and the Records Supervisor, this position will be responsible for data entry, filing and scanning records, answering phones, customer service, processing requests for information under various authorities including, but not limited to, the Open Public Records Act, the rules of discovery in criminal, civil or motor vehicle court proceedings, general office administration and daily interaction with the public.  The ability to safeguard confidential information is a must.  Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently are required.  Candidates must have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft applications.  Excellent benefit package available.

 

Interested applicants must complete an Employment Application and pass a background investigation prior to receiving an offer of employment.  Previous experience in the municipal or government environment is preferred but not required.
