Wall Township Schools, Others Announce Snow Decisions

Breaking: The district is keeping an eye on conditions for Wednesday. Private schools made their announcements as well.

WALL, NJ — Wall Township school officials have announced the district will close Tuesday due to the blizzard conditions predicted to hit Monmouth County.

A blizzard warning remained in effect for Monmouth County late Monday night as a powerful storm moved into the Northeast, according to the National Weather Service.

In addition to the local schools, a number of other schools that Wall Township students attend canceled classes, including:

  • Brookdale Community College: All locations, all classes and all activities are closed and canceled. The Brookdale/Rutgers Open House has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 28, 6-8 p.m. at Brookdale's Freehold Campus.
  • Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft; the Mothers Club Retreat scheduled for Tuesday also is canceled
  • Georgian Court University, Lakewood
  • Monmouth County Vocational Schools: All full-time career academies, shared-time career schools and evening adult school programs are canceled.
  • St. Catharine School, Spring Lake
  • St. Jerome School, West Long Branch
  • St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel
  • St. Rose High School, Belmar
