Emergency Repairs Close Atlantic Ave. Under Rt. 34 In Wall
The state had to shut down Atlantic Avenue under Rt. 34 Tuesday to repair loose concrete under the bridge.

WALL, NJ — The state Dept. of Transportation just announced two major shutdowns currently in place on Rt. 34 as it crosses over Atlantic Avenue in Wall.
The state says this is for emergency bridge repairs, as there is loose concrete under the bridge. In addition, Atlantic Avenue under the bridge is now closed and detoured.
At approximately 12 noon Tuesday, the right lane on Rt. 34 southbound was closed, and the ramps from Rt. 34 south and northbound to Atlantic Avenue were closed. Atlantic Avenue under the bridge was closed starting at approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The closures are needed to repair loose concrete under the Rt. 34 bridge as it crosses Atlantic Avenue. The work is expected to be completed by Tuesday night.
