Is This Your Charm? Cashier In Neptune City Tries To Find Its Owner

Breaking: The man's Facebook post has been circulating since the charm, which appears to contain ashes, was dropped at Dollar General.

NEPTUNE CITY, NJ — Somewhere out there, someone is missing a necklace charm that appears to contain ashes from a loved one. Bryan Janvier has it, and he's hoping he can reunite it with its owner.

Janvier, a cashier at Dollar General in Neptune City, posted on Facebook about the charm on Monday, after the charm was found on the floor in the store. It was found by one of his co-workers, who handed it to him because she wasn't sure what it was, he said Thursday when reached at the store.

"She put it on my register," Janvier said. The co-worker was going to throw it out, but he told her to hold off because he thought it might be something of sentimental value.

Janvier posted photos of the charm on Facebook on Monday, Jan. 23. As of Thursday, no one had claimed it, despite his Facebook post being shared more than 2,200 times.

"Someone has to be missing this," he said Thursday by phone from the store. He has the charm safely tucked away in hopes that somehow the photos will be seen by the person who owns the charm.
