11 Pounds Of Marijuana Found Inside Car In Warren

A search of the car found 10 plastic bags, from inside the trunk, containing raw marijuana, weighing a total of about 11 pounds: police.

WARREN, NJ — A total of 11 pounds of marijuana was found inside the truck of a West Virginia pair's car while driving through Warren, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson announced.

On February 27, 2017, at around 3:30 a.m. Warren Police Sgt. Robert Ferreiro pulled over a 2015 Nissan Altima, while on Hillcrest Road, after he saw the car driving in a careless manner.

When Sgt. Ferreiro was talking to the driver, Lloyd M. Thatcher, 30 and passenger and Casey L. Dillow,23, both of Morganville, West Virginia, he smelled burnt marijuana coming from inside the car, police report.

A search of the car found 10 plastic bags from inside the trunk, containing raw marijuana and weighing a total of about 11 pounds.

Both Thatcher and Dillow were charged with 2nd degree, possession of CDS (Marijuana) in a quantity of 5 pounds or more with the intent to distribute.

Both were placed under arrest and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending detention hearings.
