2 More Unlocked Cars Stolen, Burglarized In Warren

A total of 2 vehicles were stolen and seven were burglarized in the past week in Warren. All of the vehicles were unlocked.

WARREN, NJ — Warren Police continue to ask residents to be on alert after two more unlocked vehicles were stolen and burglarized early Thursday morning.

A Raspberry Trail resident reported their unlocked vehicle was stolen from their driveway around 4:30 a.m. with the keys left inside, said police.

A Strawberry Lane resident reported someone burglarized their unlocked vehicle in the driveway. Someone also tried to break into a second vehicle but was unsuccessful, said police.

Warren Township has been experiencing a rash of car thefts and burglaries in the past week prompting police to send out an alert to residents on Wednesday. Read More: Rash Of Stolen, Burglarized Cars Prompts Warren Police Warning

"Due to the recent stolen vehicle and vehicle burglary incidents in Warren Township, and surrounding areas, the Warren Township Police is once again reminding residents that you MUST LOCK YOUR CARS AND REMOVE YOUR KEY FOBS!" said police in an alert on Thursday morning.

On Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 11:30 a.m., an Indian Rock Road resident reported that someone broke into their garage and nothing was taken. The burglary was caught on the resident's Ring camera, said police.

On Wednesday, Oct. 27, a Ledgewood Court resident reported someone stole their vehicle from their driveway sometime overnight. The vehicle was left unlocked with the key fob inside. The vehicle was later found in Irvington, said police.

On Wednesday, Oct. 27, a Glen View Road resident reported her unlocked vehicle was burglarized overnight. A work bag with paperwork was stolen, said police.

On Wednesday, Oct. 27, a Hilltop Court resident reported a passenger in a black BMW sedan with chrome wheels reached into a work vehicle and stole a backpack. The person fled before police arrived. The backpack had clothing and a Garmin GPS worth $350 inside, said police.
