2 Multi-Vehicle Crashes Tie Up I-78 In Warren

The separate accidents occurred in the same area near exit 40 on I-78 in Warren causing the right and left lanes to close early Tuesday.

WARREN, NJ — Two separate accidents at the same spot on I-78 in Warren tied up the commute on Tuesday morning.

The first accident was reported at 5:35 a.m. involving a Toyota Camry and a Honda at exit 40 in Warren on the westbound side on the right side of the highway, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. 1st. Class Jeff Flynn.

The second accident was reportedly shortly after in the same spot but on the left side of the highway. This caused the right and left lanes to be closed at exit 40, Flynn said.

All lanes were reopened at 6:55 a.m. There were no serious injuries reported and no summonses issued. The accidents are still under investigation.
