2 Rings Worth $16,000 Stolen From Warren Home

A Bridgewater and Short Hills man were also arrested for driving under the influence in Warren, police report.

WARREN, NJ — An Old Forge Drive resident reported a burglary at their home on Dec. 7 sometime between 6:30 and 9 p.m., Warren Police report.

Entry was gained through an unlocked back door. Two rings valued at about $16,000 were stolen, police said.

On Dec. 7 at 1:46 a.m.: Jamal McKinney, 28 and Lawrence Goode, 30, both of Newark were arrested following a traffic stop on Hillcrest Road. McKinney was charged for an outstanding warrant and released. Goode was charges for possession of marijuana under 50 grams, driving a motor vehicle while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance(CDS) and failure to inspect and released.

On Dec. 7 at 5:24 p.m.: Following a welfare check on I-78 westbound off ramp at exit 36, Robert Diesel, 61, of Bridgewater was arrested for DUI. Diesel was issued summonses for DUI, reckless driving, careless driving and obstructing passage. The on call duty impounded the vehicle.

On Dec. 7 at 8:58 p.m.: A possibly impaired driver was reported on Hillcrest Road near Mountain Avenue. Police responded and arrested Umesh Katdare, 47, of Short Hills for DUI. Katdare was issue summonses for DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, obstructing passage, unsafe driving and refusal to submit to a breath test. He was transported to headquarters and released to a family member. The in call duty truck impounded the vehicle.
