N.J. Says These 40 Contractors ‘Cheated’ The Public Out Of Thousands

Forty home improvement contractors face fines after they allegedly ”cheated” the public in their work, according to the state Attorney General’s Office and the Division of Consumer Affairs.

The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs on Monday announced that during the fourth quarter of 2015, it issued notices of violation to the 40 contractors, seeking $481,477 in consumer restitution and civil penalties.
