9 Unlocked Vehicles Burglarized In 1 Day In Warren

5 more unlocked vehicles were also burglarized and 1 was stolen on Friday, police said.

WARREN, NJ — Warren Police are investigating a rash of car burglaries where nine vehicles were entered on Thursday. Five more unlocked vehicles were burglarized and one stolen were reported on Friday.

The investigation began at 1:30 a.m. on Thursday when Warren Police found a vehicle stolen from Edison on Old Dutch Road. The vehicle was taken back to headquarters and turned over to Edison Township Police for processing.

The first burglary was then reported just before 3 a.m. on Morning Glory Road where the resident said two people entered three of their unlocked vehicles and stole a key fob.

At 3:23 a.m. police went to Green Valley Drive where the resident said someone entered their unlocked vehicle, but nothing was taken.

At 8:31 a.m. police went to Old Dutch Road where the resident said two people entered their two unlocked vehicles. Nothing was taken from either vehicle.

At 2:35 p.m. police went to Winding Ridge Way where the resident said someone entered their unlocked vehicle. Nothing was taken.

At 6:02 p.m. police responded to Middlebrook Road where the resident said someone entered two of their unlocked vehicles. Fifty dollars was taken from a wallet.

Friday:

At 7:15 a.m. a Blue Jay Court resident reported his unlocked 2017 GMC Sierra was stolen from the driveway. It was found in Newark later in the day.

At around 10 a.m. two Mountainview Road residents reported three unlocked vehicles were burglarized but nothing was stolen.

Two Flintlock residents also reported two vehicles were burglarized, one laptop was stolen.

Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles, take the key fobs out, and remove any valuables. If you see anything suspicious call the Warren Police at 908-753-1000.
