To help residents escape the heat, the Warren Township Library will serve as a cooling center from Wednesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The air-conditioned facility is open to everyone seeking a safe and comfortable place to cool off.

Township officials also recommend staying hydrated, remaining indoors in air-conditioned spaces during the hottest part of the day, wearing light-colored clothing, keeping blinds or curtains closed, planning outdoor activities for the early morning or evening, and checking on older adults, neighbors, and those without air conditioning.

For more information, residents can visit the township website or call (908) 753-8000.
