Usher in Spring this Sunday, March 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Long Hill Public Library with an Afternoon of Flute, Harp & Piano. The Long Hill Library is located at 917 Valley Rd, Gillette, NJ, 07933.
Kristen Wuest, flute, Diane Michaels, harp, and Jee-Hoon Krska, piano, will present an afternoon of classical delights with this eclectic and beautiful combination of instruments. The concert, free and open to the public, is sponsored in part by the Frank and Lydia Bergen Foundation & the Wharton Music Center.
The trio will perform the works of Mozart, Liszt, Chopin, Rachmaninov, Burton, and Shocker as an ensemble and solo pieces. The trio will also perform “Believe, Dream, Inspire,” a recent composition by WMC student Elizabeth Krska, daughter of the trio’s pianist. The composition by Elizabeth, a student at Allen W. Roberts Elementary School in New Providence, won at the town, county, and state levels of the National PTA Reflections Competition, the oldest and largest program of student recognition of its kind. Elizabeth’s piece “Believe, Dream, Inspire” is currently competing at the national level in the Reflections Competition.
