Woman Says Car was Stolen While She Worked

Warren Township Police Department's daily activity reports for the week of Feb. 5.

Feb. 8

A West Orange resident working at an office on Independence Boulevard reported her 2006 Toyota Camry stolen at 5:18 p.m. She said the vehicle must have been taken sometime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Feb. 6

A Downingtown Court resident reported the theft of a safe containing jewelry and various documents from the residence sometime on Feb. 3. No estimate of the value of the contents of the safe was available, and the report was made at about 2 p.m.

Justin Chiola, 32, of Branchburg, was charged with possession of heroin after a motor vehicle stop on King George Road at 3:44 p.m. He was released after the charge was filed.

At 5:59 p.m., a Debby Lane resident reported his home had been burglarized, and about $300 in cash taken.

Feb. 4

Christopher Gerdung, 21, of Bridgewater, was charged with DWI after police stopped the vehicle he was driving on Morning Glory Road at 1 a.m. Gerdung was released after the charge was filed, pending an appearance in municipal court.
