Craft Fair Weekend at Long Hill Library

The Long Hill Library is all about community, creativity and fun! Our Community Craft Fair this weekend has a little something for everyone.

The fun starts on Saturday, November 8 from 10am til 4pm and on Sunday, November 9 from Noon until 4pm. The Long Hill Library is located at 917 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ.

We’ll have a bake sale to tickle your taste buds, crafts to delight you & a concert to entertain you. Community organizations including the Long Hill First Aid Squad, Police Department, Historical Society, CERT and others will be here sharing information about their organizations, volunteer opportunities and give-a-ways.

The library is the perfect place to come out to meet your community, friends, neighbors and local business people. Hope to see you here!

Craft-loving shoppers will be enticed into the Community Room by the quality and variety of items for sale at the Craft Fair. A $1.00 admission fee will be charged at the door.

Artists include Wendi Mulvey of Enchanted Forest Crafts; Meredith McGuire of Doemestics; Leigh Cole of Jams, Jellies, Soaps & Goodies; Arline Bleecker, Jeweler; Donna Post, Potter; Joseph LaGregor, Bird Houses; Gates Avenue Knitters and many others. The fair will offer a variety of hand-crafted craft items for visitors looking for special handcrafted treasures and charming gifts.

Music-lovers have not been overlooked! The delightful Berkeley Brass will be performing on Sunday, November 9 at 3pm. Wharton Music Center faculty Kathleen Ditmer, French Horn and Gerald Wright, trumpet, will be joined by John Lambert, trumpet, David Read, trombone, and Dean Plank, bass trombone. The Berkeley Brass will present a program of arrangements and original compositions for brass quintet from 1500 to the present day, including works by Giovanni Gabrielli, J.S. Bach, Debussy, Ewald and Ditmer. The concert is free and open to the public.

Looking for a memorable family gift? Consider having your home movies and family photos digitized. Representatives from Innovative Document Imaging (IDI) will be at the Library on Saturday, Nov 8 from 11am til 2pm to give advice on the best way to digitally preserve collections. Materials can be brought to the library on Saturday for review and estimate.
