'Do Not Flush Wipes,' Warren Sewage Authority Says
Warren residents are being asked not to flush disinfectant wipes, baby wipes or paper towels during the new coronavirus outbreak.

WARREN, NJ — Warren residents are being asked not to flush disinfectant wipes, baby wipes or paper towels (even if the package says flushable) during the new coronavirus outbreak.
"The increased use of these materials can damage the Sewer Authority's pump stations and sewer plants," the Warren Township Sewerage Authority said. "These products do not break down in the sewers and clog sewer mains and pump station equipment. Wipes and paper towels can also clog your home's internal plumbing, which could lead to a costly visit from a plumber."
Residents are asked to dispose of wipes and paper towels in a trash can.
