Driver Identified In Fatal Warren I-78 Crash Tuesday
The driver of a Nissan crossed over into oncoming traffic on I-78 in Warren early Tuesday morning hitting a Honda, police report.
WARREN, NJ — A Newark woman has been identified as the driver who crossed over into oncoming traffic on I-78 in Warren early Tuesday morning, NJ State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said.
Shonda R. Walker, 47, was identified as the fatal victim driving the Nissan Altima. Bryan S. Jones of High Bridge was identified as the driver of the Honda CRV, Marchan said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation Wednesday.

The crash was reported at 5:58 a.m. when Walker's Nissan Altima was traveling westbound on I-78 in the area of mile marker 40.8 in Warren when it crossed over the median into eastbound traffic hitting Jones' Honda.
Jones was seriously injured while Walker was pronounced dead, Peele said.

Both drivers were the only occupants inside their vehicles. Lanes on I-78 eastbound were closed during the investigation and have since reopened.
