Wedding Rings Stolen From Old Stirling Road Residence

Sept. 22

An Old Stirling Road resident reported the theft of wedding rings, valued at $1,450. The theft was reported at 11:20 a.m., although no timeframe for the theft has been determined.

Edward Smith, 42, of Oneida, Tenn., was injured and taken to Somerset Medical Center after the vehicle he was driving through the intersection of Mt. Horeb and King George roads at 11:30 a.m. hit a vehicle driven by Julie Holliday, 39, of Warren.  No charges have been filed in the accident.

Sept. 21

Tools and construction equipment valued at $5,000 was reported stolen from a work site on Gabriella Lane. The items were taken overnight before 8:45 a.m., according to the report. Police are investigating the incident.

An investigation is underway into a reported theft and forgery incident that occurred in August 2007, but was not reported by the Tine Lane victim until Wednesday.

Cynthia Retotar, 55, of Gillette, was charged with failing to yield the right-of-way after the vehicle she was driving through the intersection of Mountain Boulevard and Mt. Bethel Road was hit by a vehicle driven by Dominick DeFrancesco, 46, of Basking Ridge, at 5:36 p.m.

Retotar reported minor injuries but refused medical attention at the scene of the accident.

Sept. 19

Police responded to an accident at 8:18 a.m. after a vehicle driven by Harvey Greenstein, 46, of Somerset, on Liberty Corner Road, near I-78, hit a vehicle driven by Ericka Parker, 37, of Parsippany, while changing lanes. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Sept. 16

A 17-year-old Warren boy reported the vehicle he was driving on Valley View Road at 7:36 a.m. was struck from behind by a black Jeep, which then fled the scene.

Morgan Kaiser, 17, of Warren, was charged with careless driving after the vehicle was driving on Stirling Road, near Highmount Avenue, at 7:55 p.m. hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Nancy Henderson, 44, of Warren.
