This film, narrated by Joan Allen, is a tribute to Hannah Senesh.
Hannah and her family were Jews living in Budapest before WWII. Emerging anti-semitism led Hannah to involvement in Zionist activities in her teenage years and she left Hungary for Palestine in 1939. She was only 22 years old when she parachuted into Nazi-occupied Europe in an effort to save the Jews of Hungary.
But when Senesh, the poet and diarist, was executed by the Nazis a year later, this modern-day Joan of Arc had already left behind a body of work and a legacy of bravery that would inspire generations to come.
