Collaborative Problem Solving for Helping Challenging Children

The Watchung Hills Municipal Alliance will host a dynamic workshop for parents, educators and everyone based on Dr. Ross Greene’s highly effective, internationally-acclaimed CPS Model.

This presentation will show why traditional methods of intervention don’t work and what does work. “Collaborative Problem Solving” is a model designed by Ross Greene, PhD, Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and author of "The Explosive Child" and "Lost at School."

Featured speaker for the event is Alicia Stevenson, a Certified CPS mentor, NAMI Basics National Trainer, and nationally-recognized speaker. As the parent of a child with mental health challenges and learning disabilities, she has studied effective ways of dealing with childhood issues. Stevenson presents “Collective Problem Solving” to parents, school personnel, law enforcement, civic organizations, and mental health professionals.
