
Temple Har Shalom will host S'lichot and honored guest, Israel's first Bedouin diplomat, Mr. Ishmael Khaldi at the Temple at 8:30 p.m.
Celebrating S'lichot is a unique experience. Held late in the evening, it helps prepare one's spirit for the upcoming High Holy Days. Israel's first Bedouin diplomat and author, Ishamel Khaldi will speak on the topic "After the Arab Spring: Hope for Israel or Fear for Her Safety."

His book, "A Shepherd's Journey", is a personal account of his journey from the tribal tent to international diplomacy. Mr. Khaldi delivers a very positive message about Israel from the perspective of a Bedouin minority. Following the discussion, participants will dedicate the Temple's new yahrzeit memorial plaques.
