Theft at Workplace Reported

Warren Township Police reports for the week of May 20.

May 24

At 5:35 p.m., an employee at an office on Independence Boulevard reported the theft of $50 cash and two personal checks. The victim was unable to determine when the theft had occurred.

May 22

Anthony Sabatino, 43, of Bernardsville, and Emma Lefkowitz, 32, of Stirling, were both charged with possession of heroin, after police stopped the vehicle they were in at 10:56 a.m., on King George Road. Both were released after the charges were filed, pending appearances in municipal coourt.

May 21

Carolina Loria-Vega, 30, of Ocala, Fla., was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle after the vehicle she was driving on Hillcrest Road, at Route 78, was hit by a vehicle driven by Michael Gerardo, 27, of New Providence, when Gerardo's vehicle crossed the center line. No injuries were reported in the accident.  

 

May 19

No injuries were reported after the brakes failed on a vehicle driven by Sergio Arias, 28, of Plainfield, causing him to crash into a tree on Briarwood Drive West, at Beechwood Court, at 4:06 p.m.

No injuries were reported after vehicles driven by Valbone Mavraj, 44, of Basking Ridge, and Jonathan Shelby, 56, of Madison, side-swiped each other on Liberty Corner Road at 10:48 p.m.

May 18 

Police responded to an accident at 8:10 a.m. on Mt. Bethel Road, at Hillcrest Boulevard, after a vehicle driven by Christopher Hachey, 25, of Millington, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Willie Ward, 63, of Elizabeth. No injuries were reported at the scene.

Christopher Bowes, 29, of Far Hills, was charged with possession of marijuana at 2:50 p.m. after the police stopped the vehicle he was driving on Mt. Bethel Road. He was also charged with failing to wear his seat belt, possession of a controlled substance in a vehicle, and driving with a cracked windshield. He was released after the charges were filed, pending an appearance in municipal court.

No injuries were reported following an accident on Mountain Boulevard, at Penny Lane, after a vehicle driven by Rachel Kafka, 21, of Watchung, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Soo Ouyang, 60, of Kendall Park, at 6:18 p.m.
