Fatal Crash Reported On I-78 In Warren Tuesday

The driver of a Toyota sedan was pronounced dead at the scene following a crash with a tractor trailer Tuesday morning on I-78 West: NJSP.

WARREN, NJ — A fatal crash was reported on I-78 in Warren on Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The crash involving a Toyota sedan and a tractor trailer was reported at 11:38 a.m. on March 26 on I-78 west at milepost 38.9 in Warren Township, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Lawrence Peele said.

The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity is not being released at this time until next of kin is notified, Peele said.

The right and center lanes were closed on the highway for police investigation and have since reopened.

There are no reported injuries to the driver of the tractor trailer as of 1 p.m. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
