Fire Destroys King George Road Garage

A fire in the back of a detached garage reported at about 3 p.m. destroyed much of the structure before firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze. 

The garage, an older wood structure, was filled with lumber and suffered extensive damage to the rear of the building and the roof.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Update: A second fire call was issued at 3 a.m., reporting the fire had reignited. The garage—and its contents—have been completely destroyed.
