Briarwood Drive East Residence Burglarized

Warren Police reports for the week of April 29.

A Watchung Heights Avenue property owner reported the theft of copper wiring, valued at $100, at 8:47 a.m. The owner did not know when the wire may have been taken.

No injuries were reported after a vehicle driven by Thomas Belgardo, 50, of Martinsville, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Barry Siegel, 63, of Bridgewater, on Liberty Corner Road, near Independence Drive, at 9:39 a.m.

A Briarwood Drive East resident reported a burglary at 5:18 p.m., after someone broke the front door to gain entry sometime between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Details on what was taken in the incident are still being compiled.

Police responded to an accident on Mt. Bethel Road at 5:39 p.m. after a vehicle driven by Christina Spitery, 55, of Metuchen, hut the rear of a vehicle driven by Robert Pellegrino, 51, of Basking Ridge. No injuries were reported at the scene and no charges were filed.  

April 30

No injuries were reported after a vehicle driven by Sherry Cortese, 20, of Warren, was hit after she pulled into traffic on Mt. Bethel Road and was hit by a vehicle driven by John Ruafolo, 68, of Watchung, at 12:38 p.m.

An Upper Warren Way resident reported someone used her credt card account to purchase a laptop computer, valued at $375, through an online sales site. 

April 29

One adult and three juveniles were taken to Somerset Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries suffered after the vehicle they were traveling in on Mt. Horeb Road, near Deerwood Trail West, at 12:38 a.m. struck a utility pole after the vehicle's driver lost control.
