Green Fair Offers Free Seedlings to Replace Lost Trees
First 300 visitors will receive seedlings—but that's only one part of the Fair's offerings.

Hurricane Sandy took out a lot of trees in the area, but Saturday's Warren Green Fair is offering the first steps to restoring them, with the first visitors to the fair receiving free tree seedlings.
The giveaway is just one more reason to visit the fair—just in case you don't have any items you need to dispose of: this year's event is offering recycling services for...everything.
In addition to the informational tables from local groups and participants, the fair will include opportunities for residents to take advantage of safe, sustainable ways fo disposing of everything from electronic items to medicines and bottle caps.

"The focus will be on recycling hard to dispose items such as electronics, old medicine, textiles and more," Ila Gillenwater, a member of Warren's Green Team, said. "There will also be several Scouting troops offering ideas for living a more sustainable life."
The Fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m April 27 (rain date is May 4) at the municipal complex. The entire community is invited and it's free to participate in any of the recycling, disposal or programs at the event.
