Road Closures, Outages: Warren Storm Update
Warren set up a water-filling, cooling, and charging station for residents, who are still without power following Tropical Storm Isaias.
WARREN, NJ — Roughly 1,700 Warren residents remain without power on Thursday night. Here is the latest update on road closures, outage numbers, and help offered to those without power following Tropical Storm Isaias.
As of Thursday at 6:15 p.m., there are 1 PSE&G customers and 1,751 JCP&L customers in Warren who are still without power.
In Somerset County, 2,676 PSE&G customers and 14,300 JCP&L customers remain without power.

PSE&G estimates power could be restored as late as Monday at 3 p.m., while JCP&L estimates power could be restored as late as Tuesday at 11:30 p.m.
The Warren Township Committee along with the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and the Warren Township Police Department have been working around the clock with JCP&L and PSE&G to restore power to the Township.

"Unfortunately, the majority of our residents and businesses remain without power," the township announced. "Warren Township suffered serious damage as a result of this storm and the crews are making progress in restoring power and clearing debris from the roadways, but it will take time."
Warren Police Chief William Keane has assigned a Warren officer to assist JCP&L supervisors in identifying outages, road closures, and coordinating traffic safety during restorations.
JCP&L is currently conducting repairs at the intersections of Reinman Road and Saw Mill Road, Round Top Road and Woods Road, and Mt. Bethel Road and Mount Horeb Road.
Mt. Horeb Road to Liberty Corner Road and Mountainview Road are now open to thru traffic.
Help is also available for residents who remain without power.
Warren Township opened a charging/cooling station in the Warren Rescue Squad behind the Municipal Complex at 6 Bardy Road Thursday. COVID-19 precautions will be observed and masks will be required.
For those residents on well water and whose wells may not be operating, there is a hand-pump spigot located at the Municipal Complex near the Snack Shack, which can be utilized as needed to fill jugs of water.
Additionally, JCP&L is offering water and ice for its customers at the following locations:
- Kings, 450 Rt. 206N & Hills Dr., Bedminster
- Saker Shop Rite -Branchburg, 3166 Rt 22, Somerville
- Shop Rite of Bernardsville, 93 Morristown Rd (Rt 202), Bernardsville
- Kings, 100 Morristown Rd., Bernardsville
- Kings, 64 Mt. Blvd Brady Shopping Center, Warren
PSE&G has also set up several Customer Comfort Stations. Following physical distancing and state health guidelines, customers can receive free water and ice by driving up and opening their trunks so employees can place water and ice in it. The comfort stations will be open Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Kennedy Center (Willingboro Recreation and Parks Department), 429 John F. Kennedy Way, Willingboro
- Lawrence Township Municipal Building, 2207 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville
- Lumberton Township Municipal Complex, 34 Municipal Drive, Lumberton
- Steven Adubato Sports Complex, Near Branchbrook Park Drive & Bloomfield Avenue, Newark
- Warinanco Park Ice Skating Rink, 1 Park Drive, Roselle
