Legendary Pine Barrens @ Warren Library

Stories and Songs about the NJ Pine Barrens to be performed at Warren Twp Library on Wednesday, October 23 at 7 pm.

For its popular Halloween for adults program, the Warren Twp Library will host host author, singer and Grammy-nominated songwriter Paul Evans Pedersen Jr.  Learn about strange doings in mysterious Pine Barrens towns and taverns, and listen to music inspired by that beautiful NJ region.   

The Legendary Pine Barrens: New Tales From Old Haunts, is a new collection of short stories by Paul Evans Pedersen Jr.  The author introduces a rogue’s gallery of weird and colorful characters in tales that run the gamut from offbeat explanations of natural phenomena, to unconventional takes on popular  legendary local subjects as the infamous Jersey Devil, dancing bandit Joe Mulliner, and the mysterious Blue Hole of Winslow.  With this literary feast, inspired by South Jersey folklore and his love for the Pine Barrens, Paul Evans Pedersen Jr emerges as southern New Jersey's most exciting new storyteller in decades.  His presentations are enhanced by his engaging storytelling and musical performance skills.  The prestigious Kirkus Review said about this book: This fun read is a fine work of folklore, showing tremendous dedication to the magical history of its New Jersey locale.
