Lockdown For Warren County Schools After 3 Walk Away From Group Home
Police in Washington Township said area schools were under "shelter in place" orders Wednesday morning, but the lockdown was later lifted.
WARREN COUNTY, NJ — Police in Washington Township said that various schools in Warren County were temporarily locked down after three males walked out of a nearby residential group home Wednesday morning, but the lockdowns were lifted just after 11 a.m.
"Earlier this morning 3 males walked away from a residential home off of Brass Castle Rd in White Twp.," the police posted after 10:30 a.m. "2 of the 3 males have been located and recovered. 1 male is still at large. A shelter in place at the local schools is a precautionary measure."

Last week, schools nearby in Warren Township, in Somerset County, were locked down after a phone threat was received. However, the threat was later determined to be "non credible." Read more here.
