Malinowski To Host Virtual Forum On Combating Online Extremism
The virtual forum will discuss the threats posed by white nationalism, anti-Semitism, other forms of extremism online.
DISTRICT 7 — Representative Tom Malinowski of District 7 will host a virtual forum to discuss the threats posed by white nationalism, anti-Semitism, other forms of extremism online, and how to guard against them.
The forum will be held on Friday from 2 to 3 p.m.
The forum comes as Malinowski and Anna G. Eshoo (CA-18) reintroduce the "Protecting Americans from Dangerous Algorithms Act," legislation to hold large social media platforms accountable for their algorithmic amplification of harmful, radicalizing content that leads to offline violence. The bill will be reintroduced in the House of Representatives this week.
