Man Struck, Killed By Passing Tractor-Trailer On I-78 In Warren
The Clifton man was stepping out of his truck that was parked on the shoulder on I-78 in Warren when he was hit by a passing truck.

WARREN, NJ — A truck driver was struck and killed by a passing tractor-trailer while on the shoulder of I-78 on Monday at 5:12 p.m. in Warren, New Jersey State Trooper Lawrence Peele told Patch.
Jimmy Beltran, 57, of Clifton was stepping out of his Peterbilt truck that was parked along the shoulder of the interstate when a Freightliner driven by a 39-year-old Union City man hit him and the parked truck around 5 p.m. at mile marker 38.5 in Warren, Peele reported.
Beltran was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other truck wasn't hurt and has not been charged, Peele said.
