Cash Reported Stolen from Wallet in Vehicle

April 26
A Skyline Drive resident reported the theft of $150 cash from a wallet in an unlocked vehicle at the residence. The resident was unable to determine when the theft couod have occurred.

April 25
, on Stirling Road, reported the theft of a laptop computer from its offices sometime between April 1 and April 25. The value of the computer was not avaialbe.

April 23
John Perez, 18, of North Plainfield, was charged with careless driving after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving on Stirling Road, and hit a utility pole. He was also charged with failing to maintain lanes, not having decals and improperly tinted windows.
April 22
Henry Fortmiller III, 52, of Martinsville, was charged with DWI and other offenses after police stopped the vehicle he was driving on Mt. Bethel Road at 1:53 a.m. He was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, speeding, failing to maintain lanes, failing to keep right, and failing to have his vehicle inspected.
He was released after the charges were filed, pending an appearance in municipal court.

No injuries were reported after a vehicle driven by Monserrat Budzinski, 34, of Bound Brook, side-swiped a vehicle driven by Maria Macaro, 30, of Plainfield, as he was attemptign to change lanes at the intersection of Mountain Boulevard and Mt. Bethel Road at 11:47 a.m.

A Mt. Horeb Road resident filed a report of identity theft, after an unknown person obtained $428.90 from an account after a loan attempt.

Police and volunteer fire fighters responded to a transformer on fire on a utility pole on Dock Watch Hollow and Ferguson roads at 3:19 p.m. Jersey Central Power and Light crews also respsonded to make repairs, after the fire was extinguished.
April 21
Volunteer fire fighters from Washington Valley Volunteer Fire Co. and police responded to extinguish a brush fire on Ellsworth Drive.
April 20
No injuries were reported after an accident at Mountain View Road and Friar Tuck Court, when a vehicle driven by Brenda Cardoza, 39, of Warren, side swiped a vehicle driven by Robert Beck, 51, also of Warren, at 7:36 a.m.
