It may have been a holiday for many, but burglars took advantage of an empty house over the weekend to break in and steal an unspecified amount of jewelry, police said. The burglars gained entry to a Tall Oaks Drive residence through the front door sometime between Dec. 21 and Dec. 25.  Police also received a report of an attempted burglary made Dec. 22 at a Fox Hill Drive residence. Both incidents are under investigation.

It may have been a holiday for many, but burglars took advantage of an empty house over the weekend to break in and steal an unspecified amount of jewelry, police said.

The burglars gained entry to a Tall Oaks Drive residence through the front door sometime between Dec. 21 and Dec. 25.  Police also received a report of an attempted burglary made Dec. 22 at a Fox Hill Drive residence.

Both incidents are under investigation.
