Mookie Bear Is Warren's Pet Of The Week

WARREN, NJ — Meet Mookie Bear! She has been chosen as Warren Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"Mookie Bear is a 4-year-old Pomeranian who we were blessed with after one of our older Pom’s passed. I had said I would not get another after the heartbreak again of loosing one. But so glad we did.

Mookie came from Michigan, we got her at 7 months old. I have had a total of five Pom’s, but saw she was special in the way she attracted people making them smile. I decided to train her as a Therapy Dog to bring smiles and love, comfort to those of the older generations. She passed her training and got certified with Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs Inc. She visits several venues each week bringing some sunshine to those residents at various facilities whom look forward to seeing her. She gets lots of snuggles, pets, and kisses while bringing smiles and sharing her love.

She loves to dress up for her Therapy visitations for residents, go shopping with Mom and to do photo shoots with her Mom.

When home she loves to snuggle on our laps, go for rides in the car, visit with people when out in her stroller, play with her basket of toys at home."

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com with subject line "Warren Pet Of The Week." Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the town you're from.

You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today. All photos must be property of the submitter.

Additionally, selected winners each week will be given a free treat bag when they stop in Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming inside Bridgewater Towne Center at 732 US-202. And winners can also bring their pet into the store for a picture. Woof Gang Bakery will put them up on their Facebook page as well.
