Motorcyclist Airlifted To Hospital In Serious Somerset County Crash

The motorcyclist, a 41-year-old man from North Plainfield, is in stable condition.

WATCHUNG, NJ — A motorcyclist was airlifted to a local hospital following a crash in Watchung on Tuesday.

The crash was reported at around 4:24 p.m. in the 500 block of Watchung Avenue where Watchung Police found a motorcyclist with serious injuries, said Watchung Police Detective Lt. Scott Anderle.

The motorcyclist, a 41-year-old man from North Plainfield, was flown to a local hospital by medevac helicopter. His last known condition was stable, said Anderle.

Watchung Avenue remained closed until about 7:30 p.m. while police conducted an accident investigation. No other vehicles are believed to be involved.
