Multiple Fraud, Thefts Reported In Warren

A hit and run was also reported on Mountain Boulevard in Warren, according to the police blotter.

WARREN, NJ — Multiple fraud and thefts have been reported over the past few days in Warren.

On Nov. 17 at 1:12 p.m.: A Stirling Road business reported an incident of forgery and theft. The investigation is ongoing.

On Nov. 17 at 6:12 p.m.: An Ellsworth Drive resident reported an incident of identity theft. The victim was contacted by 'Fingerhut.com' about someone attempting to open a fake account using the victim's name and social security number. The account was later denied.

On Nov. 17 at 6:49 p.m.: A Piscataway man reported being involved in a hit and run on Mountain Boulevard near Primrose Way. The victim reported a car pulled out of Primrose Way and hit the Piscataway man's car and then drove away eastbound on Mountain Boulevard.

On Nov. 18 at 12:40 p.m.: A Sunnyslope Drive resident reported an incident of Western Union fraud.

On Nov. 18 at 1:42 p.m.: A Reinman Road resident reported an incident of identity theft. Someone tried to open a fake Fingerhut account using the victim's name.

On Nov. 19 at 7:46 a.m.: A Ridge Road resident reported an incident of criminal mischief. Someone reportedly sprayed the victim's car with a small amount of orange paint.
