Outstanding Warren Woman to be Honored Friday

Debbie Sestokas of Warren was named one of the Outstanding Women in Somerset County for 2016

Warren, NJ -- This township woman is truly amazing and that's why she was chosen as one of the 2016 Outstanding Women in Somerset County award winners.

Debbie Sestokas of Warren will be honored at an awards dinner on March 18 at The Imperia in Franklin.

“We have many women in Somerset County doing amazing things every day,” Somerset County Freeholder Director Patricia Walsh, liaison to the county Commission on the Status of Women said. “It is most appropriate that during Women's History Month, we take the time to publicly recognize them and say thank you.”

Debbie Sestokas of Warren is the cofounder of the Diva for a Day Foundation. Diva for a Day is a non-profit organization that honors women who are dealing with a cancer diagnosis during a critical time in their journey. Each woman is treated to a day of relaxation and beauty at a participating spa.

Diva for a Day has grown in five years from one single spa in Somerset County to more than 50 participating spas in 28 states.

Debbie has spent the last 13 years volunteering for various cancer organizations, including serving as the volunteer coordinator for the Somerset County Reach to Recovery program with the American Cancer Society.

Debbie is a trained Hospice volunteer for the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills and has volunteered in local cancer hospitals.

A licensed Real Estate professional since 1988, Debbie and her husband, Ray, reside in Warren Township with their five children.
