Overnight Crash Causes Power Outages, No Injuries Reported

Woman treated at the scene after hitting utility pole.

An overnight accident Sunday brought down power lines and has caused outages to some residents in the area of Mountainview Lane.

According to Warren Township Police Dispatcher Mike Kull, a woman in her 60s crashed into a utility pole on Mountainview Lane at about midnight. The woman was treated by the rescue squad and did not need to be hospitalized, Kull said.

The accident brought down power lines and caused outages in the area, Kull said. JCP&L has re-hung the wires and Verizon re-hung phone lines, but no loss of phone services were reported by Verizon spokesman Lee Gierczynski.
