Patch Editor Visits Cub Scouts

Den 15 Tiger Cubs talk about story ideas.

Woodland School's Cub Scout Den 15 listened to Warren Patch Editor John Patten discuss online journalism and how news is delivered to their parents, Thursday.

Meeting at Central School, the den members—James Young, Jack Reale, Andy Shi and Nolan Brunner, and guest Kaleigh Brunner—participated in the  project as part of the Scouts' work towards a journalism activity badge.

The Scouts had lots of questions about how journalists do their jobs, and what merits a good story. Scout James Young wondered if an annoying musician would be a good story (if people complained about it, it might be worth a story).
