Proposed Stone House Hotel To Be Heard Monday

WARREN, NJ — The proposed application to build a hotel on the grounds of the Stone House Restaurant in Warren will be heard Monday night during the Board of Adjustment Meeting.

The meeting will be held at 6:50 p.m. in-person and virtually on Zoom.

A three-story, 48-room hotel is being proposed at the venue at 50 Stirling Road. The hotel will also have an underground parking deck with 37 spaces.

The proposed hotel will be located in the wooded area to the right of the existing hall near Stiles Road.

Maddy Realty LLC, is seeking two variances. One for use of the land for a hotel and the second for the height of the building. The proposed height exceeds 10 percent of the permitted amount.

There has been much contention revolving around this application with many neighbors opposed to the development.

A Facebook group against the overdevelopment in the township was formed as a result and neighbors are planning to speak during the public portion of the meeting. To join the group click here.
